Transferring Stock From Another Broker

When placing a request to transfer stock please ensure that you provide us with contacts details of your existing broker such as a contact name, postal address, telephone and email address. Please return all documents to International Transfers Team, TD Direct Investing, Dept. AA 1626, P O Box 4212, FREEPOST, Dublin 2. (Please ensure you write "No Stamp Required" in the top right hand corner of your envelope.)


I want to transfer American and/or Canadian stocks into my TD account

  • Electronic holding:
    If stocks are held electronically with another broker complete & sign the American/Canadian Asset Transfer Form.
    Why do I need this form?
    This acts as an instruction form to your existing broker to transfer specific stocks.
  • Paper share certificates:
    If the stocks are held in your own name i.e in paper, download & complete a copy of the template transfer covering letter and return it to us along any certificates that you hold to the address detailed above.

I want to transfer Australian stocks into my TD account

  • Paper share certificates:
    If the stocks are held in your own name i.e. in paper, download & complete a copy of the template transfer covering letter with statement and return it to us to the address detailed above along with a copy of the Issuer Sponsored Holding Statement OR complete the Australian Standard Transfer Form for each type of stock you hold.
  • Electronic holding:
    If they are held electronically with another broker you will need to complete & sign the Asset Transfer Form.
  • Why do I need to complete these documents?
    The Australian Standard Transfer form acts as an instruction form to your existing broker to transfer specific stocks.

I want to transfer Hong Kong/Singapore stocks into my TD account

  • Paper share certificates:
    If the stocks are held in your own name i.e. in paper, download & complete a copy of the template transfer covering letter and return it to us along any certificates that you hold to the address detailed above.
  • Electronic holding:
    If they are held electronically with another broker you will need to complete & sign the Asset Transfer Form.

I want to transfer French/Swiss stocks into my TD account

  • Paper share certificates:
    If the stocks are held in your own name i.e. in paper, download & complete a copy of the template transfer covering letter and return it to us to the address detailed above along with a copy of your latest Statement. We will then generate the relevant forms for you to sign.
  • Electronic holding:
    If they are held electronically with another broker you will need to complete & sign the Asset Transfer Form.

I want to transfer any other international stocks into my TD account

  • Electronic holding:
    If stocks are held electronically with another broker complete & sign the Asset Transfer Form.
